After sharing a new song and video ‘Lotto‘ a couple of weeks ago, Joyner has revealed the official tracklist for the album today. It contains a total of 18 songs with guest appearances from Young Thug, Chris Brown, Logic and Fabolous. Of course, some of the tracks have been out already but it will still be worth a listen as a project. The rapper parted ways with both Atlantic Records and his manager Sha Money XL last year which caused a delay in the release of ADHD.
The second single, “Devil’s Work,” was released on May 2, 2019, six months after the lead single’s release.
On May 23, 2019, Joyner released ADHD’s third single, “Isis” which features surprise guest Logic, ultimately squashing the two rappers’ past beef.
The newest single, “Lotto,” — which can’t be embedded on Telegram.com because of language concerns, but can be listened to on Spotify — serves as a pretty good prelude, touching on many of the previous singles’ themes, although without making use of some of the earlier established musical motifs which have appeared throughout songs such as the title track and “Revenge.” Instead, it makes use of orchestral tracks and a dirty trap beat, giving it a distinctive feel. Indeed, more than some of the other songs so far, “Lotto” is a starting point, or maybe a conclusion. We’ll know when the album drops.
After a year and a half since the first announcement in October 2018, Joyner Lucas is finally set to drop his debut solo studio album ADHD next Friday, March 27, on his own Twenty Nine Music Group label.
Interestingly enough, the tracklist does not appear to have been passed by Joyner Lucas’ spell-checker because, even though Fabolous has been spelling his name on songs for the last decade, JL still managed to get the “U” in there. Oh well… you can’t win them all, I guess.
